A highly visible site on the A3 corridor through the Royal Borough of Kingston which has been the subject of numerous complex schemes by others, in a congested urban area of south east London. Accords approach is to temper the aspirations for the site with the capacity / bulk, mass and scale which the site parameters inform and constrain, to mold a master plan which integrates a neighbourhood foodstore serving Tolworth with a mix of uses including community uses, a “gateway” hotel and 269 residential units , providing a range of tenures, particularly family housing.


This approach has gained Greater London Authority support on architectural matters and integrates public transport serving the site with a “Greenway” public realm linkage scheme to co-join the wider community to north and south of the A3 corridor.
